On Tuesday Hiram will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will venture away from home to face off against the Allatoona Buccaneers at 5:30 p.m. Allatoona took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hiram, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Hiram finally turned things around against Marietta on Monday. Everything went their way against the Blue Devils as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Arizona Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Jones was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Preseleigh Kimbrell was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Zipporah Simms also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hiram always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. The last time their OBP was this high was back in September of 2023.

Meanwhile, Allatoona entered their contest against Sprayberry on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Allatoona lost 12-4 to Sprayberry. It was the first time this season that the Buccaneers let down their fans at home.

Hiram's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Allatoona, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

Hiram might still be hurting after the 14-1 defeat they got from Allatoona in their previous matchup on August 5th. Can Hiram avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
