Football Recap: Polk County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Polk County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 21-12 win over the Pigeon Forge Tigers on Friday.

Polk County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kaden Qualls and Landon Free.

Polk County's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Pigeon Forge, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Polk County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Eagleton College & Career Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Royals will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pigeon Forge, they have already played their next matchup, a 46-20 victory against Johnson County on the 10th.
