Basketball Recap: Cement Comes Up Short

Cement lost against Cyril back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cement Bulldogs took a blow against the Cyril Pirates, falling 91-14. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Pirates are ranked 49th).

Cement has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Cyril, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Cement didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-37 win against Carnegie on the 20th. Cyril has also already played their next match, a 91-14 loss against Cement on the 21st.
