Basketball Recap: Victory College Prep Takes a Loss

Victory College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 49-9 defeat at the hands of the Tindley Tigers. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-4.

Leading Tindley to victory were Ariauanna Hall and Rachel Day. Hall posted 21 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards, while Day dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave Day a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Hankerson, who had four points and five steals.

Victory College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Tindley, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Victory College Prep will square off against Purdue Broad Ripple at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Victory College Prep is facing Purdue Broad Ripple at the right time seeing as Purdue Broad Ripple is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Tindley, they will challenge Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Ainsley Brown and Hall.
