Baseball Game Preview: John Marshall Rockets vs. Byron Bears

The John Marshall Rockets will take on the Byron Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for John Marshall and five for Byron.

On Thursday, John Marshall didn't have quite enough to beat Faribault and fell 2-1.

John Marshall saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Leth, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Leth has hit this season.

Byron couldn't beat Pine Island on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Bears fell 9-4 to the Panthers.

John Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Byron, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

John Marshall beat Byron 4-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
