Basketball Recap: Upper Columbia Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Upper Columbia Academy took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They strolled past the Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame Knights with points to spare, taking the game 43-28. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 54-46 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame's loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Willard and Alia Lutzo. Willard posted eight points along with five boards and four steals, while Lutzo had six points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. Gianna Hartman was another key player, putting up no points in addition to ten boards, four steals, and four blocks.

Looking ahead, Upper Columbia Academy will venture away from home to challenge Colfax at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Pomeroy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
