Mekeel Christian Academy had won six straight games and Bria Salvo did her part to make it seven on Sunday. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mohonasen Warriors with plenty of help from Salvo, who had 22 assists and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Mekeel Christian Academy never let Mohonasen on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24.

Mekeel Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mikal Towers, who had eight kills and one block. Macie Dell was another key player, getting seven kills and four digs.

Mekeel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-3-1. As for Mohonasen, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.
