Basketball Recap: Enderlin Eagles vs. Oakes Tornadoes
The Enderlin Eagles were the 85-47 winner over the Oakes Tornadoes when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Enderlin received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 55-39 to the Tornadoes. Enderlin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Enderlin's loss came despite strong showings from Ayden Glarum and Karson Gruba. Glarum almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Gruba scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Glarum has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played.
Enderlin's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Oakes, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Enderlin will square off against the Loboes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakes, they will head out on the road to take on the Broncos at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in North Dakota (Lisbon is ranked 60th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 52nd).
