After a string of five wins, Our Lady Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Brandon Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Crescents were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Our Lady Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 18-25, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Our Lady Academy lost, don't look at Mackenzie Knoblock. Despite the final result, she had six digs and two aces.

Our Lady Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Brandon, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Our Lady Academy and Brandon will both be playing Gulfport the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Admirals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Crescents will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
