Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hinckley-Big Rock). They put the hurt on the Earlville Red Raiders with a sharp 8-0 victory on Monday. Sawyer Smith was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Hinckley-Big Rock's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight matchups. As for Earlville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Coming up, Hinckley-Big Rock will be playing at home against Indian Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Earlville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Serena at 4:30 p.m. on the 17th.
