Whitwell put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sale Creek Panthers a 6-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Whitwell saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Kilgore, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Whitwell has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sale Creek, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-6.

Looking ahead, Whitwell will host Gordonsville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sale Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
