Basketball Recap: Whitinsville Christian Comes Up Short

Whitinsville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Sutton Sammies, falling 54-17. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 39-18 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Whitinsville Christian's record now sits at 0-8. As for Sutton, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Whitinsville Christian and Sutton's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Whitinsville Christian and St. Bernard's Central Catholic (who has only given up 26.71 points per game) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Sutton will challenge Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a squad that's only allowed 27.56 points per game.
