Softball Recap: Springfield's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak at Home

Springfield and Upper Dublin squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Springfield had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Flying Cardinals by a score of 2-1.

Springfield's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 30-5. As for Upper Dublin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Upper Dublin, they will take on Abington Heights at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Flying Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
