Kearsarge hasn't had much luck against Bishop Brady recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Giants at 4:00 p.m. Kearsarge has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Kearsarge lost 18-2 to St. Thomas Aquinas on Monday.
Kearsarge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Leblanc 2029, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Bishop Brady faced Trinity in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Giants came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 7-2. The win was familiar territory for the Giants, who have now won five matchups in a row.
Brooklyn Griffin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ava Archambault was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Rosario, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Bishop Brady's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Kearsarge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Kearsarge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Bishop Brady struggles in that department as they've averaged .409. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
