Basketball Recap: SouthLake Christian Academy Comes Up Short

SouthLake Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 55-38 to the Hickory Grove Christian Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-41 back in December of 2024.

Lauren Feaster continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hickory Grove Christian, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Feaster has scored at least a third of Hickory Grove Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Williams, who posted 13 points.

SouthLake Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Hickory Grove Christian, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

SouthLake Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gaston Day at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they and Forsyth Home Educators will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
