After a string of five wins, University City's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 7-4 to the Bonita Vista Barons. If the Centurions were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Barons when the teams met back in April of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

University City got a good showing from Gavin Sieler, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Josh Kaplan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Ethan Antenore also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

University City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Bonita Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University City will be taking part in a tournament against Classical Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bonita Vista, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Helix at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Highlanders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Barons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
