Football Recap: Tualatin Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with West Linn + How To Watch

Tualatin faced West Linn in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Timberwolves came up short against the Lions, falling 52-28. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Timberwolves of the 56-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Tualatin lost, don't look at Cole Hachmeister. Despite the final result, he rushed for 111 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. With that strong performance, Hachmeister is now averaging an impressive 102.2 rushing yards per game. Owen Hagerman also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

West Linn's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sloan Baker led the charge by throwing for 198 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also rushing for 70 yards and one score. Viggo Anderson was another key player, rushing for 76 yards and a pair of TDs.

Tualatin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for West Linn, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
