It was a Battle of the Birds when Grove Christian School challenged James River HomeSchool on Saturday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Eagles 2-1. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Grove Christian School's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for James River HomeSchool, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Grove Christian School will challenge Williamsburg Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for James River HomeSchool, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Bridge Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 11.
