Baseball Game Preview: Harlingen Cardinals vs. Edinburg Bobcats

For the second straight game, Harlingen will face off against Edinburg. The Cardinals will venture away from home to challenge the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Harlingen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Edinburg. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Dominic Gonzales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Harlingen's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 6-1 (and 8-12 when he doesn't).
