Basketball Game Preview: Dawson County Tigers vs. Chestatee War Eagles

The Dawson County Tigers will take on the Chestatee War Eagles at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dawson County has three straight victories, Chestatee has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Dawson County picked up another tournament win on Monday. They took down Madison 59-41.

Meanwhile, Chestatee played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 72-27 loss at the hands of Lassiter. The War Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.

Chestatee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Dawson County, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

Dawson County might still be hurting after the 82-61 loss they got from Chestatee in their previous meeting back in November of 2021. Can Dawson County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
