Basketball Game Preview: Beachside Barracudas vs. Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles

The Beachside Barracudas will head out to face off against the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beachside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season.

On Saturday, Beachside earned a 51-44 victory over Andrew Jackson.

Beachside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Morgan Cremen led the charge by going 7 of 13 en route to 18 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Cremen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 15 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ellie Ament, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 46-40 win over Riverside on Tuesday. Given the Golden Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Generals are ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Paxon School For Advanced Studies' victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Beachside, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Beachside came up short against Paxon School For Advanced Studies in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 45-41. Can Beachside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
