Recap: Union Rockets vs. Centerville Bulldogs
The Union Rockets had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 52-45 win over Centerville. That's another feather in the cap for Union, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Glory Ellis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Ellis hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlynn Holderman, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Union's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Centerville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-18.
Union will head out on the road to challenge Daleville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Daleville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday. As for Centerville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wes-Del at 7:00 p.m.
