Baseball Recap: Hug Takes a Loss

Hug lost against South Tahoe back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hug Hawks fell 5-2 to the South Tahoe Vikings. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Hug saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Cruz, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. Those hits marked the first that Cruz got this season.

Hug's record now sits at 2-5. As for South Tahoe, the win snapped their losing streak at nine games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-8 record.

Looking ahead, Hug will face off against Wooster at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Tahoe, they will head out on the road to face off against North Valleys at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. North Valleys is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
