It was a good run, but Harlingen South unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to the Weslaco East Wildcats on the road by a 46-32 margin. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Harlingen South's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-12. As for Weslaco East, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harlingen South will challenge Mercedes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Harlingen South is on a four-game streak of home wins, Mercedes a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Weslaco East, they will face off against Edcouch-Elsa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edcouch-Elsa knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Weslaco East likes a good challenge.
