Softball Game Preview: Independence Indees vs. Whitehall Vikings

For the second straight game, Independence will face off against Whitehall. The Indees will face off against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Independence is headed out to face Whitehall after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Indees put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 10-2 win on Tuesday.

For Whitehall's part, Harlow Foss made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was Foss' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Everything went Independence's way against Whitehall when the teams last played on Tuesday, as Independence made off with a 10-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indees since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
