Marist waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tucker Tigers. The War Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marist took both sets by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-7.

Cora Thomas #16 paced Marist's offense, picking up nine kills. Thomas #16 got some help from Katie Elder and her eight assists. Elder was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Tucker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Marist wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Northview on the 23rd. As for Tucker, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Chamblee on the 25th.
