Basketball Recap: Tunstall Takes a Loss

Tunstall came up into this matchup off a tough 20-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Martinsville Bulldogs by a score of 63-61 on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-28 back in December of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Tunstall and nudges their season record down to 5-12. As for Martinsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Tunstall will square off against Halifax County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Martinsville, they will challenge Mecklenburg County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Martinsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Mecklenburg County likes a good challenge.
