Volleyball Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson Spartans vs. Denver East Angels + Official Tickets

Thomas Jefferson hasn't had much luck against Denver East recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. Thomas Jefferson will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Thomas Jefferson made easy work of George Washington and carried off a 3-0 win.

While Thomas Jefferson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-18, 25-22.

Anisa Adrovic was the offensive standout of the match as she had nine digs and six assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in August. Peyton Fetter also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Thomas Jefferson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Denver East lost 3-0 to Denver South on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-19.

Denver East's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Thomas Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
