Baseball Recap: Timber Creek Triumphs

On Wednesday, the Timber Creek Wolves were able to grind out a solid win over the Montverde Academy Eagles, taking the game 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Brody Juntunen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Timber Creek's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Brown, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Timber Creek now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Montverde Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timber Creek will face off against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montverde Academy, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Mount Dora Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Montverde Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
