Soccer Recap: Elizabeth Comes Up Short

Elizabeth lost against Cranford back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Minutemen came up short against the Cougars, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Elizabeth were already down 3-0.

Elizabeth has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Cranford, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2-1.

Looking ahead, Elizabeth will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Sparta at 4:00 p.m. Cranford has already played their next contest (against Scotch Plains-Fanwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
