Cahokia league recap: 4/3/13

Columbia outperformed the rest of the league this week, as its three total wins led the league. The Eagles beat Valmeyer 10-0, Metro-East Lutheran 13-3 and the Pirates 2-1.

Wesclin made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from ninth to third place in Cahokia thanks to a 2-0 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Red Bud fell hardest in the standings, dropping from second all the way to sixth place after going 1-1 in the past week. Columbia (7-1, 2-0) is the No. 1 team in the league.

Dupo's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing four hits and two walks to lead the league in both categories.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Jimmy Dickerson, who turned in seven Ks for the Tigers. He's first in the league with 24 total strikeouts.
