Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Strong Rock Christian Patriots.

Jayda Young made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Strong Rock Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Chapel Hill will be taking part in a tournament against Wayne County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Strong Rock Christian, they will take on Fayette County in a tournament on Saturday.
