Volleyball Recap: Fullerton Falls Short of Village Christian in the Playoffs

Fullerton and Village Christian squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Fullerton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2.

Fullerton actually scored more points across those five sets (106-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 13-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-10.

Fullerton dropped their record down to 18-19 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Village Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season.

Fullerton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Village Christian, they will challenge Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight.
