Baseball Recap: Fayetteville Street Christian Wins Going Away Against True Gospel Christian

Fayetteville Street Christian got themselves on the board against True Gospel Christian on Tuesday, but True Gospel Christian never followed suit. They blew past the True Gospel Christian Grizzly 20-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Connor Allred made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.

In other batting news, Fayetteville Street Christian let Logan Morrison and Bentlee Vestal run wild. Morrison scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Vestal scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Morrison is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Thornsbury, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Fayetteville Street Christian now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Fayetteville Street Christian will be playing at home against Tabernacle Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for True Gospel Christian, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Rockwell Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on March 27th.
