Volleyball Recap: Marquette Beats Nixa for Their Fourth Straight Win

Marquette had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Nixa Eagles.

Marquette never let Nixa on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17.

Marquette's offense was headlined by Lucas McKay and Alex Danyluck, who picked up seven kills apiece. Danyluck really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 13. McKay was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Marquette's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-9. As for Nixa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Marquette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Mehlville on the 3rd. As for Nixa, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against North Point on the 3rd.
