Basketball Game Preview: Specially Fit Academy Rams vs. Downey Christian Patriots

Two dominant guards in Landyn Colyer and Maylon Marte are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Specially Fit Academy Rams will be playing at home against the Downey Christian Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Specially Fit Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Specially Fit Academy never let Varsity Opponent onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The two-point effort marked the Rams' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 97-69, which was the final score in Downey Christian's tilt against Southern Coast Academy National two weeks ago. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (60), the Patriots still had to take the loss.

Specially Fit Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Downey Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.
