Baseball Game Preview: New Bloomfield Wildcats vs. Montgomery County Wildcats

New Bloomfield will head out to challenge Montgomery County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Bloomfield will be strutting in after a win while Montgomery County will be coming in after a defeat.

While New Bloomfield's victory against Fayette wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats skirted past the Falcons 7-5. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Southern Boone, falling 19-3.

Montgomery County's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for New Bloomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

New Bloomfield couldn't quite get it done against Montgomery County in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 7-4. Can New Bloomfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
