Baseball Game Preview: West Seneca West Warhawks vs. Dunkirk Marauders

The West Seneca West Warhawks will challenge the Dunkirk Marauders at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Seneca West was handed a 13-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pioneer, sneaking past 6-5.

West Seneca West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brogan Ramirez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Cole Shinners also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Dunkirk made easy work of Brocton on Monday and carried off a 13-7 victory.

Paul Trippy was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Anthony Piede, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Dunkirk's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for West Seneca West, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
