Basketball Recap: Dickinson Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Dickinson had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They blew past the Clear Springs Chargers 67-36. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Dickinson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lindsey Scott led the charge by going 10 for 18 en route to 18 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Scott a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmine Hansley, who went 9 of 15 on her way to 20 points.

Dickinson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. As for Clear Springs, they dropped their record down to 7-24 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dickinson will host Clear Falls at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clear Springs, they will welcome Deer Park at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
