Preview: Lebanon Warriors vs. West Clermont Wolves

Lebanon has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the West Clermont Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Lebanon made off with a 39-38 win over Kings.

Meanwhile, West Clermont had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 61-28 win over Talawanda at home. With that victory, West Clermont brought their scoring average up to 51 points per game.

West Clermont's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Taylor Schmidt, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists, and Layla Hale, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hale has scored at least 25% of West Clermont's points. Another player making a difference was Maddi Fender, who scored 10 points.

Their wins bumped Lebanon to 2-1 and Kings to 2-1.

Lebanon might still be hurting after the 65-45 defeat they got from West Clermont in their previous meeting back in January. Can Lebanon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
