            Baseball Recap: Herriman Mustangs vs. Copper Hills Grizzlies        
        
		
        
        
            Herriman won against Copper Hills  on Wednesday with nine  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of  9-5. The game was the first time the Mustangs have beaten the Grizzlies on their field since April 18, 2023.

Herriman got a great performance from  Mason Greeno as he  tossed six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   four  hits. Greeno also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because the Mustangs are 4-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 6-11 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  Kayson Thomas was  incredible,  going 1-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI. That  home run was  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Ryker Renteria, who  got on base  in three of his five plate appearances with three  runs and one  stolen base.
Herriman's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 10-12. As for Copper Hills,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-18.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Herriman will  take on  rival Bingham  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Copper Hills is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Riverton  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday.
