Softball Game Preview: Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays vs. Felicity-Franklin Cardinals

The Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays will head out to face off against the Felicity-Franklin Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington and eight for Felicity-Franklin.

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington lost 14-3 to Fairfield on Tuesday.

Georgetown hit Felicity-Franklin with a five-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals came up short against the G-Men, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Cardinals couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Felicity-Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington took their victory against Felicity-Franklin in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 23-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Jays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
