4A District 10 Top Player Performances of the Week

Antonio Muniz Crosses Big Stat Threshold
 Starting off the list is Gulf's  Antonio Muniz, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Muniz rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (105.5). He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
 Muniz is probably looking forward to his next game, a  home matchup against Fivay on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time  Muniz saw the Falcons), he rushed for 202 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 86 receiving yards.

Jaydn Wood Has Career Rushing Day
  Jaydn Wood posted a new career-high in  rushing yards  on Friday. He rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 70 yards.
 Wood and Gulf will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fivay at 7:30  p.m.  on October 18th. The Buccaneers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Falcons, probably because  Wood had a solid game then too: he threw for 114 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Clearwater Wins Third-Straight Thanks to  Noel Brown
  Noel Brown's big game helped extend Clearwater's winning streak to three on Friday. Brown wasn't messing around, picking up  a  sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss). The  matchup was his third straight with seven or   more total tackles dating back to last season.
 Clearwater now  has a winning record of 4-3. Brown and Clearwater will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against East Lake at 7:30  p.m.  on October 18th.

John Michael Carpenter Makes It Three for Gulf
 Another Gulf player making an appearance on this list is  John Michael Carpenter. He picked up 69 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 69 yards.
 This year,  Carpenter  has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 36.7 receiving yards per game. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he was only averaging 2.33  receiving yards per game.

Bri'an Key Makes It Two for Clearwater
 The second Clearwater player making an appearance here is  Bri'An Key, and for good reason. He made three total tackles and snagged   an  interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
