Basketball Game Preview: Buchholz Bobcats vs. St. Johns Country Day Spartans + Official Tickets

The Buchholz Bobcats will face off against the St. Johns Country Day Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buchholz has given up an average of 55.2 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Buchholz is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Williston just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Red Devils, falling 63-41.

Taylor Booth put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 16 points. That was a full 39% of Buchholz's points, marking the third time in a row Booth has had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alana Barr, who earned eight points.

Meanwhile, St. Johns Country Day really took it to Old Plank Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-28 win. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 35 points or more this season.

St. Johns Country Day now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Buchholz, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Buchholz couldn't quite get it done against St. Johns Country Day in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 as they fell 52-39. Thankfully for the Bobcats, Taliah Scott (who scored 30 points and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
