The King/Drew Golden Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Fremont Pathfinders at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. King/Drew is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
King/Drew came out on top against Harbor Teacher on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Golden Eagles took their contest against the Monarchs 8-4. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Danilo Meade and Hades Carranza were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Meade struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Carranza pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meade has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Meade went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Carranza went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Angel Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Another was Elijah Lugo, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Fremont was able to grind out a solid win over Dorsey on Monday, taking the game 6-1.
Like King/Drew, Fremont also got a great game from a two-way player: James Harris. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave Harris a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, Jahdiel Roberts was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Alex Amaro also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Fremont is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for King/Drew, their record now sits at 15-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. King/Drew has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fremont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
King/Drew couldn't quite get it done against Fremont in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 9-4. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
