Volleyball Recap: Council Takes a Loss

Council lost against Horseshoe Bend back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lumberjacks came up short against the Mustangs, falling 3-0. The Lumberjacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Council was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-9.

Council's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Horseshoe Bend, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Council will challenge rival Tri-Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Horseshoe Bend is set to square off against their familiar foe Garden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
