Softball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County fell victim to Liberty County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Seahawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sarah Ham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Liberty County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

Franklin County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-1 victory against Suwannee on the 9th. As for Liberty County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Port St. Joe on the 10th.
