Softball Recap: Potter Valley Drops Season-High Score on Point Arena

Potter Valley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost 18-9 to the Point Arena Pirates. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Bearcats' highest-scoring match to date.

As for Point Arena, their win bumped their record up to 4-9. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Potter Valley: they've now won three in a row.

For Point Arena's part, Addison Clark made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Clark was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Point Arena got a massive performance out of Hattie Piper, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Serina Azbill was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
