Loomis had won nine straight home games and Graham Trompke did his part to make it ten on Friday. The Wolves narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pleasanton Bulldogs 58-55 with plenty of help from Trompke, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Jaron Schukar, who posted six points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brennan Lindner, who shot 41% from the field to rack up 19 points and five boards. That was a full 34.5% of Pleasanton's points, marking the fourth time in a row Lindner has put up more than a third of the team's points. Owen Janitscheck was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Loomis' win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Pleasanton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Loomis will challenge St. Cecilia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will be up against the Bluehawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pleasanton, they will face off against Ansley/Litchfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.1 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
