Basketball Recap: Centennial Golden Hawks vs. Highland Scots

The Centennial Golden Hawks can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They blew past Highland 84-31 at home. The win was nothing new for Centennial as they're now sitting on four straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centennial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Gutierrez, who scored 14 points along with seven steals. Gutierrez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rippen Gill, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.

Centennial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

Centennial will head out on the road to face off against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Liberty's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Highland, they will be playing at home against the Drillers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bakersfield has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 13.
